Many of us just trudge down the long winding paths of life, happy and content with realizing just a small percentage of available capability. The hope that luck or some mystifying, celestial power would change everything keeps us going without realizing that the power of magic is present within us, just waiting a submissive slave, capable of providing everything we wish. The truth that even a single stage hypnosis performance can change our life does not dawn until the sight is witnessed.
What Is Hypnosis?
At any time when we do something mechanical, the conscious mind is abstracted from the subconscious and we are prone to enter into a hypnotic state. Some automatic actions are supplementary than others to facilitate daydreaming. There are a lot of our actions that we perform without and heed that are stored in the subconscious. While functioning in this automatic mode, it is quite easy to drift from attentive status into a altered level of consciousness. Hypnosis is in fact a stable and normal state of mind and it is very true that we are not asleep during hypnosis. During hypnosis, the body and attentive mind are both in a comfortable, normal state, while the subconscious mind is wide awake and amenable to propositions.
What Is Stage Hypnosis?
A performance of Hypnosis activities on a group of willing volunteers where mass hypnotism or individual Hypnotism is performed for demonstration can be termed as Stage Hypnosis. How wonderful would it be if somebody comes up and teaches us everything we ever wanted to know about Stage Hypnosis, everything right from suggestibility tests, to the procedures of inserting volunteer in deep hypnosis. To start with stage Hypnosis involves basic presentation skills as body language, language patterns and voice, use of modulated voice, inserting volunteers into trance and of course to bring them back easily.
The Performance
The performer needs to put up a convincing show and hold attention of entire audience with credible and believable performances. The volunteers chosen for experiments should not appear as planted. The performance should not only hold the audience together but should also ensure that they are involved in the entire show. The key to a stage hypnosis, then, is to involve the participants and arouse their curiosity. Every participant must feel the urge to come on the stage and be a volunteer. You definitely try to be the best performer you can possibly be so set up the show and the situation. It is irrespective of the fact that you may be performing at friends, pub, theatres or anywhere. As a hypnotist, it is important to take care of the volunteers. It is also important to put to good use the knowledge of hypnosis to solve participant's problems.
