Free hypnosis
Do a search on the Internet and you will find hundreds of sites offering information on free hypnosis products. There are thousands of downloads to choose from for audio files and leaflets, some free and some payable. Face to face consultations are generally payable but there are Radio stations and even TV programs that specialise in hypnosis related information and products. But, as we all know, wonderful as the Internet may be there are some sites that you should avoid. Searching for anything free on the net can bring you problems including spam, hackers, viruses and many other nasties but, occasionally, you can find something free that is worth having. Free hypnosis as a search can bring you all the above plus other sites that talk about power over others, mind control and many other things.
Hypnosis itself as a subject has caused a lot of controversy. Generally most people fall into the two groups for and against; there are very few people who sit in the middle. Even the scientific community although basically agreeing that the brain does show a reaction in certain areas of subjects under hypnosis cannot agree on exactly how and why hypnosis seems to work. One thing that all serious hypnosis organisations agree on is that despite what we've all heard, a hypnotist is only allowed such control of your body and mind that you allow, a hypnotist can only implant suggestions and indicate mental directions for you to follow. He (or she) cannot force you to do something that you don't want to do.
During the last few years Hypnosis and other similar therapies and practises have gained a level of attention that was unheard of before. Now there are even foundations, academies and colleges where people can study for anything from a few days to a few months and walk away at the end with a Diploma certifying them as a qualified hypnotist. This helps you as a consumer because if someone has a diploma or certificate of some kind then at least they should know something about the subject. These academies and hypnosis schools do have websites and on some of them you can download free hypnosis information leaflets (in PDF form) and some even offer free hypnosis audio tapes or mp3 downloads.
If you are seriously interested in trying hypnosis either just for curiosity, to feel generally happier or as therapy of some kind then it may be helpful to try listening to a free hypnosis audio tape or download some free mp3 recordings. Read a few free leaflets too, find out about the different kinds of hypnosis and get the facts on different foundations, schools and academies of hypnosis. That way if and when you do decide to pay for a course or consultation you already know something about what you're doing and what to expect from your consultation or course. You may even be able to get a free hypnosis consultation through your national health authority; some countries do provide this as part of their health services. Speak to your doctor, maybe he (or she) could give you some more information, maybe they're a qualified hypnotist too!
